Sewing with Silk

Working with silk requires special techniques. In this class you’ll actually get to touch, feel and sew on different types and weights of silk. You’ll practice seam finishes, learn how to prevent puckered seams, practice the proper way of attaching French lace to silk, Hong Kong seams on curves and more.

This class has two parts that can either be all day if in-person, or two separate days on Zoom. The first session covers the basics and the second one explores more advanced techniques.

Zoom or in-person.
Bring your sewing machine to this hands-on class and never be afraid to sew on silk again.

Class Fee (per person): $50, all day class (in-person) or two sessions on different days (Zoom).

Kit Fee: $50 Includes: 100% silk fabric in many different types and weights, silk bias tape,
silk needle, silk pins, and two workbooks for your samples with instruction booklet.
